Egypt inks deal with EBRD to build 10th of Ramadan Dry Port
The EBRD has invested more than EUR 4.4 billion in the country

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s General Authority for Land and Dry Ports signed a grant agreement worth EUR 1 million with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

The agreement includes the provision of consulting services for offering the establishment of 10th of Ramadan Dry Port and Logistics Centre Project in an international tender, according to a statement on Wednesday.

The Egyptian Minister of Transport, Kamel El-Wazir, and the Minister of International Cooperation, Rania El-Mashat, witnessed the signing of the agreement.

The agreement is part of the country’s plan to build eight dry ports and five logistics zones across the country, and linking them to railways, El-Wazir said.

The project will be built over an area of ​​250 feddans, including 190 feddans for the dry port and 60 feddans for the logistics centre.

The EBRD has invested more than EUR 4.4 billion in 105 projects in the country, El-Mashat said.
